Can Parachute Backup run automatically?

On Mac

Yes. Set a schedule in the app, and Parachute Backup takes care of the rest. You can also start any backup plan from Shortcuts or Siri, and run your own Shortcuts on backup events.

With several backup plans, each one can have its own schedule.

On iPhone and iPad

Yes. Pick a time of day in the Schedule screen, which sets up a Shortcuts automation for you. You can also start a backup when your iPhone joins a Wi-Fi network, or just ask Siri.

iOS decides when apps may work in the background, so scheduled backups run while your iPhone is charging and online. If iOS interrupts a run, the next one continues where it stopped.
